DIGIPASS aims to improve the impact of the mobility experience for students by offering a holistic approach to online mobility support. The aim is to complement current projects such as paperless Erasmus, the European Student Card, the e-Learning Agreement and the Erasmus application by focusing on and acquired soft skills for a successful mobility experience. There is a clear need to improve online support in areas such as career guidance, intercultural communication and psychological well-being abroad, as many students report that the current level of guidance is insufficient to help them take full advantage of the potential benefits of their mobility. UoE ranks 18th in the world in the 2019 QS rankings and maintains cooperative relationships with 600 partner universities in more than 100 countries around the world. The Research Excellence Framework ranking, used by the UK government to determine future research funding, places Edinburgh in fourth place in the UK for research, with computer science and informatics ranking first in the UK. UoE is deeply embedded in the local community and is committed to excellence in learning, teaching and research, as well as knowledge sharing and impact on society. DIGIPASS will create a modular training program to support students throughout the mobility cycle. Once developed, the training programme will be made available through e-learning tools that students can access abroad. The project will also create a toolkit to help employees who assist students in their mobility journey, as well as a handbook and framework for policy makers. The online training programme, the human resources toolkit and the handbook/framework will be made available as open education resources at the end of the project, so that higher education institutions across Europe and beyond can use DIGIPASS results to improve their own existing support systems and use their students` digital skills. After the nomination, your home institution will send us your contact details so that we can send you an application form for exchange students and an ECTS learning agreement form. UoE is one of the UK`s largest and most international universities, which is reflected in its student population, which includes over 5,200 European students and 13,200 international students from over 130 different countries. It can also be found in its truly international employees and in its joint research and other links with foreign universities, institutes, companies and governments….
